Doctrine
Scripture:
We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the old and new testaments of the Bible. They were inspired in their original writings, preserved through the ages, and they are the sole authority for all faith, practice, and life in general (2Tim 3:16, 2Pet. 1 19-21).
The Godhead:
We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, These three are coequal, co substantial, and coeternal, and are one God, sharing the same nature, and attributes. (Gen. 1:1, Matt. 3:16-17, 28, 19-20, John 1, 10:30, 2Cor. 13:14, Rom. 8:9)
The Christ:
We believe in the eternal existence of Jesus the Christ, and His virgin birth. We believe in the substitutionary death of Christ, and His literal, bodily resurrection. We believe that Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father making intercession for the saints, and that He will personally return to earth to establish His literal kingdom. (Matt. 26:64, Coll. 2:9, Acts 1:9,11, 10:4, 40-41, Rom. 3:25, Luke 1:35, 24:36,43, Heb. 1:8, 8:1-2, Isa. 7:14)
The Holy Spirit:
We believe that Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts men of sin, indwells every believer from the moment of conversion, works in every believers life to produce Christ likeness, keeps and empowers every believer, illuminates every believer to the truths of God’s Word, and secures every believer in their salvation. (1Cor. 3:16, Eph. 1:13-14, 16:8, John 16:8, Rom. 8:9)
Man:
We believe that man was created good and innocent, but that Adam fell through disobedience to God. We believe that all humanity has been corrupted through the sin of Adam, and that this corruption extends to man’s mind, soul, and body. The total depravity of man does not mean that man sins at his full potential all the time, but that every part of man is tainted by sin. This renders all men in need of the salvation of Jesus Christ. (Gen. 1:26, Romans 3:23, 5:12-19)
Satan:
We believe in the reality and personality of Satan. (Job 1:6-9, 2:3, Matt. 4:1-11, 1Peter 5:8, James 4:7)
Salvation:
We believe that salvation is solely by God’s grace through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Gods Son Jesus Christ. That all who receive Christ receive the Holy Spirit and are born into the family of God. We believe in the security of the believer. (Eph. 2:8-9, John 1:12, 10: 28-29)
The church:
We believe that the local New Testament church is the pillar and ground of the truth, that the church is made up of regenerated, born again, baptized believers who voluntarily gather together for the purpose of worship, edification, fellowship, the keeping of the ordinances, spiritual growth, and the furtherance of the gospel. We believe in the autonomy of the local New Testament church to be self-governing. ( Acts 2:42-47, 4:33-37, 5:1-20)
Ordinances:
We believe in only two ordinances. The Lords Supper was given to the church to observe as a memorial of Christs death until His return. Believer’s baptism is to be administered only to those who profess faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and is a public and outward sign of inward regeneration. There is no efficacious value in either ordinance. (Matt. 3:13, 26:26, 27:28, 28:19, Mark 14:22-24, 1Cor. 11:23-25)
The Future:
We believe in the personal and premillennial return of Christ. We believe that Jesus will come first for His saints, who will meet Him in the air. The rapture will be immediately followed by a seven year tribulation, after which Christ will return with His church to judge the nations. We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the just and unjust. The Just will be judged at the Judgement seat of Christ, and receive reward for the work done in the flesh for Gods glory. The unjust will rise to be judged before the great white throne, and receive everlasting punishment in the lake of fire.
